Cynthia is a native of the Seattle area and grew up in the Pacific Northwest. She left in 1989 with a Seattle Thunderbird Hockey Player and started a journey that would move her over 30 times to various cities across the United States from the East Coast to the Midwest and then finally back to the West Coast after 27 years.
Throughout that journey, Cynthia became a single Mom to three boys including a set of twins, obtained her BA in Theory of Communications and Human Relations (with a minor in music and journalism) and went on to receive her Masters in Media Literacy. She became an award-wining journalist through the Missouri College Media Association and started her first position in senior living as a Marketing Director for a Memory Care community in 2007.
After watching 2 of her sons graduate from college with Physics Degrees and the other specialize in welding with the National Guard before becoming a Machinist, she knew it was time to get back to the place she called home. When she returned to Seattle, her heart began pulling her back into senior care and her passion to help families and those affected with memory impairments. Cynthia has spent over five years in Assisted Living and Memory Care as a Community Relations specialist. Her goal has always been to bring programs and services into the communities that serve our seniors, to create awareness and support for families and loved ones. Together with the Quail Park community team, she strives to make a positive difference in the lives of those affected with dementia.
Cynthia is an avid dog lover, a tech/science follower (thanks to her father and sons) and in her off time enjoys working on two apps she is developing for music and senior living. She is an advocate for music, music therapy, and technologies such as virtual reality to help ease the symptoms of memory loss.
